Whytemead Primary School

PE Days

Not only is PE part of your child's curriculum, it also supports your child's health and well-being.

What items of clothing are needed for PE?

All children are required to bring in the following full PE kit to school.

  • PE shorts
  • PE top (with Whytemead Logo)
  • Sweatshirt or jumper (with Whytemead logo)
  • Trainers
  • Black joggers during winter

When does my child have PE?

There are 2 PE sessions a week for all children. We do advise that your child's PE kit stays in school for the duration of the school week as there may be occasions where your child's PE session will be moved to another day.

Earring policy

If your child wears earrings, we do advise that they are removed for PE if possible. If your child is unable to remove their earrings, please provide surgical tape to cover and protect their ear. Please inform the office if an allergy would prevent your child from wearing the tape.

Please be advised that hooped earrings are not suitable for school. If hooped earrings are worn we will ask that you come to the school to remove them as there is a health and safety risk to your child.
