Fire Service Visit

On Friday 15th March, the children in Cherry class and Maple class had a visit from our local Fire Service. They provided the children with a workshop at which they spoke about:

  • Being safe and unsafe with fire
  • Stop, look, listen and think
  • Stop, drop and roll
  • Smoke alarms
  • Get out, stay out, call 999

They also spoke about the history of the fire service and how things have changed over time. The children played a few memory games see how much they remembered from what they have learnt.

The children in Maple class each took a turn to sit in the fire engine whilst the children in Cherry class had a blast with the fire hose.

The children really enjoyed the session.

As always, we would like to thank our local fire service for coming in to visit and for teaching the children the importance of fire safety.
